What was your week in GIFA like?
Very positive, we are really satisfied! We were next to our brothers Hüttenes-Albertus, in a small stand, but very effective and popular. We counted more than a thousand visitors among friends, colleagues and customers who stopped by to say hello, had a look at the technical news and toasted with a glass of Prosecco. We were pleased to meet so many people in friendship: GIFA is the perfect chance to get in touch! Our style is appreciated because customers enjoy the friendly atmosphere within the challenging frame of the most important foundry exhibition in the world.
Have you also given a technical content to GIFA?
Sure, every day our staff introduced a new product with great interest of the audience! The most popular topic were the coating that changes color when it gets dry, the chromite based coating with cooling properties and the polyol binder system for aluminum foundries. We also received a very positive feedback on the ecological hybrid resin with minimal emissions. Last but not least, we got in contact with many potential Italian and foreign customers.
What’s your relationship with HA and the affiliates like?
Everything is heading in the right direction! In such a large group, dynamics are not necessarily immediate, but goals are clear! Mazzon is a new entity whose turnover comes from many countries and the brand “MAZZON” will be increasingly valued as an alternative to the products already in the market: there are so many opportunities!
What is the internal situation in Mazzon like?
After an initial apprehension and a mutual understanding, we are now aware that together we are stronger! Finance, purchasing, investment, technology, IT, R&D, HR - globally managed by a growing group with about 750 million euro turnover - are now so powerful and competitive. There is still a lot to do; especially as far as integration and communication is concerned, but we are very optimistic because of the hospitality, respect and consideration that Hüttenes-Albertus family showed us.
Any future goals?
One year after the merge with HA, we are sure that our staff must carry on working hard as we have always done ! We also have to look ahead, i.e. invest in Schio in human resources, facilities and in efficient technologies in order to offer the global market the best in terms of technical service, performances and competitive prices. These are our major challenges for the future, but with HA we are strong and we trust that promoting Mazzon brand will be an effort that is worth to be made and will bring rewarding satisfactions.
